Poetry Club Hosts Reading
CHS's Poetry Club has been a fixture of the school's culture since its inception ten years ago. For the first time since 2019, Poetry Club held an in-person reading for the whole school to attend.

Lost Gun in Burns Park
The issue of gun control has permeated my brain since seventh grade, when the Parkland shooting took place. Although I was over 1000 miles away from it, the shooting affected me deeply. When gun violence touched my own neighborhood, I knew I needed to write about it. I covered the instance of a lost gun within the Burns Park neighborhood, where I went to elementary school and still live.

A Christmas Debacle
During this holiday season, my town announced a new — and somewhat controversial — policy: holiday lights had to be off during certain hours of the night and could not exceed a certain amount of energy. To the citizens of Ann Arbor, this was unacceptable. I interviewed a person in my neighborhood known for their Christmas lights display and explained how this policy affects the local environment.

Classroom Life: New History
This news feature explores a new history teacher at CHS, Joslyn Hunscher-Young, and how she is using her knowledge and the community's resources to teach her students hands-on history. In particular, the article focuses on a new history class created by Hunscher-Young called African American Studies, which focuses on the Black community throughout Ann Arbor's history.
