Volume 50, Edition 1, November 2022
For our first edition of the 2022-23 school year — my senior year and my second year of being editor-in-chief — I was in charge of putting together the opinion section. This was a big deal for me, as the previous year I had been focused on content. Although I didn't design the individual pages of this section, I put them together in a master document and fixed spacing and fonts. This was a great introduction into design and it has made me feel more confident about designing my own pages.
Volume 50, Edition 2, January 2023
After getting to know InDesign, our design program, by working on the opinion section, I decided to get creative with my own designs. I wrote three large pieces for our second edition and designed pages for each of them.
"A New Unicorn"
"A New Generation of Learners"
"Nowhere Left to Turn"
Volume 50, Edition 3, March 2023
I now feel very confident in my InDesign skills and have been exploring different design techniques! For this edition, I learned how to text wrap, which I am super proud of.
